Benjamin d1786 Surname List Name Index New

Woodruff

This site is devoted to researching the Woodruff Family of New Jersey, in particular the descendants of my ancestor, Lieutenant Benjamin Woodruff, a Revolutionary War veteran of Bergen Co., New Jersey. If you see any relatives listed in these pages, please contact me and we can share notes. I'm still working on firmly establishing all of the children of Joshua Woodruff who was born in New Jersey, moved to Pennsylvania, then to Jackson Co., West Virginia and who finally died in present day Meigs Co., Ohio. There appear to be many New Jersey Woodruffs whose offspring settled in Ohio and I would enjoy conversing with anyone researching this surname in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New Jersey.

    Other Interesting Woodruff Lines

Abner Woodruff, of early Washington Co., Ohio; Alexander Woodruff of Trumbull Co., Ohio and Benjamin Woodruff of early Adams Co., Ohio are some of the Woodruff families who may all descend from the New Jersey Woodruff line - if not through Benjamin then perhaps his siblings or cousins.
