Guest Book 1999

Thank you for all the information. I am trying to find David Elliot born about 1750 whose wife name was Rachael. They lived in NH and had a son David born 16 Nov 1779 who married Nancy Colby daughter of Thomas And Susanna Colby. Do you have any info?   Thank you again. Carol.

[I have no information on David Elliot born 1750. May I suggest that you study these books 1) Frederick Lewis Weis, Th.D., "The Colby Family in Early America, 1595-1661," (Concord, MA: The Colonial Press, 1970); Family History Library; 929.273 C672wf. and 2) David W. Hoyt, "The Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury Massachusetts," (Baltimore, MD: Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc., 1982); Family History Library; 974.43 D2h . . . Natalie]

Thanks - Your site provided me the missing information that I needed to update my family line on TEWKSBURY.

Dear Natalie, I am Willis Jay Welch's daughter. He was born February 24, 1929 and died September 25, 1990. He is Jesse VELMA Tewksbury's only son. Other information I have is from a well documented Sisson Family history which I am updating. Like you said, what a job. Alva Frost Sisson, b. March 18, 1873, d. September 9, 1935. Kenneth Alton Sisson b. July 13, 1911 Mary Margaret Sisson b. April 16, 1913 Willis Miles Sisson b. November 1, 1918, d. May 10, 1923 (death certificate on file at the Ohio Historical Society.#34369. I may be able to help out with more. I have a brother Timothy Jay Welch. He has two children. Robert Ernest Welch and Patricia Welch. I have two sons: Jack Willis Singerman and Gary Allen Fagan. Thanks for the information. I don't think it would be wise to give out current information on me and my children. Please e-mail me with your address and phone no. and maybe we could help each other out.

Are there any Tuxburys included or is the book going to be strictly Tewksburys.

[The name was spelled variously among all the related branches [TUXBURY, TEWKESBURY, TUCKSBERY, TUKESBERRY and TEWKSBURY are some of the variations] and they will all be included in the book as long as I have the families well documented . . . Natalie.]

What a great site. I came across it quite by accident. My husband is Douglas G. Elliot, born Medord Oregon to Don Joseph Elliot & Eleanor Sheets Elliot. His father was Don Elliot married to Elisabeth Trabue of Humansville, Mo. The names Ezekiel Elliot and Moses Elliot caught my attention. Unfortunately, I don't have little family history information, and none on hand at this wee hour. If this is useful to you, contact me. If I can find more specific later, I'll send it to you. Don E. & "Bess" moved to Medford, Or. Don Joseph hand only one sister, Mary. There can't be (relatively speaking) that many Elliots spelled with the double l and single t. Good luck!

I am enjoying the Tewksbury information, hope book is done soon. I would like to fill up the branches on my tree. I think some acorns fell off and would like to replace them. Thanks for all your hard work, it will benefit a lot of Tewks.

Mary Tewksbury 1670/1-1736/7 marring Philip Sargent fits in my tree thank you.

If you have any clues, I would appreciate a note. I saved your page in my bookmarks and will look deeper into your info as time permits.. Great page, well done. Thanks.. Ron ronyp@pacbell.net

Hi Natalie, Just thought I would give you my new E-mail address. I have visited your website many times. I love to read the comments about my distant cousins. It's so great, especially, since I live so far away from my immediate family.

My aunt Sylvia English, from harpswell Me is the real history buff from my side of the family. I will let her know about the web site. She will be so excited to hear that a place on the web she can visit and speak with. HAPPY EASTER

My great great grandparents were James Winthrop Tewksbury and Lydia Maria Breed. I have original photographs of both, as well as several photographs of my great grandfather George C. Tewksbury and his first wife, my great grandmother Theresia Agnes Connell and their daughter (my grandmother) Ethel Maria, who married Herbert S. Rice.

Searching for my son born approx June 1953 in the Chicago area at the Cradle a Catholic charities org., Mothers name Ann Marie Nichols. Adopted probably in the north Chicago suburban area. He has 3 half brothers and 4 half sisters that he has never met. plus me his father.

Just getting my toe wet in the sea of Sargent genealogy. Your site is getting my juices churning--don't know where to start next! I go back thru Zebadiah, David, Cutting, & Philip Sargents to the Tewksburys. Hope to catch on to this fun. Good work!

Keep up the fine work. The history of Newton was most enjoyable. Reading through made life in those times come to life.  I come through Naomi TEWKSBURY, daughter of Henry and Martha Cobb TEWKSBURY and her husband John Elliott. Their daughter, Mary, married Ezekiel Colby COLBY.  So far I have found nothing about Martha and would be interested to hear of any research in England regarding her.  You provided me with a very enjoyable evening. Thanks.  Janice

We have our line traced from Henry and Martha. Now I am interested in Henry's brother Thomas who was living in Amesbury with Henry in 1674. Any info?

I want to know more, I will be visiting again real soon!

I am researching my mothers side of the family. My GG Grandfather was Albert Eldridge Sargent b.1840 married Alice Houghton Savage b.1847. Do you have any information about them?

Hi Natalie, I'm glad to have found your web page. As a 'fellow writer' I appreciate the effort you are putting into this project. I was tickled to see some of my ancestral names already included in your index. I can provide the rest of my line if you would like the info for your book. I am descended through Hannah TEWKSBURY/TUXBURY (b. 8/16/1709) & Samuel BLAISDELL (b. 6/24/1704).

Looking for George Bennett Missinne from the Detroit area. He is a pilot.

On behalf of my double-cousin, Lula Greer Reed, I am seeking information on her grandmother, Arminta Tewksbury who married Edgar Clinton Greer native of WV. At the time of her death they were living in Alexandria, Indiana. Mr. Greer was from Flat Rock, Mason County, WV. They had two children: Everett and Carrie May Greer.

Hi everyone, just wanted to say that I think you have completed a very nice site. and I hope everyone takes advantage of your hard work setting-up this site. GREAT JOB! thanks Doug.

Is anyone related to Harold J.R. Tewksbury who married to Ethel Harriet Blake? He was the child of Samuel Staples Tewksbury and Emma Ann Royal.  She was a child of Roscoe Everett Blake and Maria Charlotte Gore.

I visited Tewkesbury, England last March and went to the local library to find genealogical information on the Tewkesbury lineage. Not much success. My father's mother is a Tewksbury from North Dakota. Do you know of any links to pages to John> Henry> John> David> Isaac> Jacob> Samuel> Samuel Jr.> Mark Kinney Tewksbury (my great grandfather)?  Thank you. I'm new at this. I just purchased Family Tree Maker and would like to start learning how to use it.  Curtis Rittenour Lincoln, Nebraska
