Information from Land Record:  "Know all men by these presents that we Pickett MARVIN and Mary his wife of Bloomfield Township in the County of Jackson and State of Ohio genl for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to them in hand well and truly paid by Pickett WOODRUFF of Bloomfield Township aforesaid the receipt whereof we do hereby aknowledge ourselves fully satisfied and paid have given granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain and sell alien release convey and confirm to him the said Pickett WOODRUFF his heirs and assigns a tract or parcel of land lying in the County and township aforesaid and being apart of the NW Quarter of Section No. 19 T. No. 8 Range 17 beginning at the North west corner of said quarter section thence south on the Township line 20 poles thence east to the east line of sd. quarter section thence north with sd. line 20 poles from thence west to the place of beginning the above described tract containing 30 acres to have and to hold the above granted premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said Pickett WOODRUFF, his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple hereby agreeing to warrant and defend the sd. granted premises against all lawful claims or demands of any person or persons whomsoever in witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 16th day of April AD 1829.
